You as the user do need to know what this stuff is. Spyware is a pest and will become a major security risk. We need to know what it is, what it will do, how to prevent it and how to get rid of it. You are now given the option to keep or discard the software, click keep.
When the MBsetup.exe icon stops flashing click it. The malware bytes option to run the file opens, click yes.

Double click the exe file to execute it.

The welcome to Malwarebytes setup wizard opens, click install.
The add Malwarebytes browser guide opens, this is added protection for 14 days. If you want to make good use of it. Click yes install and click add the extension. Otherwise click next.
The installer launches and takes a little time to load up so time for a cuppa.
The main scan window now opens up. Ensure the Web protection, Malware protection, Ransomware protection and Exploit protection tabs are all set to on. Click scan in the scanner window.
After the scan completes, the results of the scan are shown. You may be surprised to see the amount of junk in your system. If you click the file name, Malwarebytes will open a page on their website and tell you what it has found. Click quarantine then close to finish the process.
The results of the scan will be shown.It's a good idea to set up a regular scan for the future. Malwarebyte will scan your PC in the background so you can carry on working. Set the scan for daily so click the link scan sceduler.
